Wildflowers of the Forgotten Creek 1
High up on Berthoud Pass, a lonely stream flows down the slopes from late summer melting snow. With the help of Googlemaps and hours of research, I've visited this area a few times now. Only a faint game-trail leads up to this location, and even then I often lose the path. I've never seen another person up here, either, though my girls think they heard a Bigfoot on our inagural expedition of scouting the area. The purples and golds of wildflowers can be breathtaking in late July and early August - enough to pull me out of bed and on the trail by 4:30 am in search of the perfect sunrise location.
