Tomichi Point - Black Canyon Sunrise 727-2
Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP
The sky was lit in shades of orange over the Black Canyon of the Gunnison on this summer morning. This deep gorge surrounded by Precambrian rock is at some points 2,500' deep. The canyon runs approximately 48 miles as the Gunnison River flows westward through the steep cliffs. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
