Those Quiet Mornings 1
I'd studied Googlemaps to find this location. From a previous hike along the Continental Divide Trail, I'd seen several small pools in the base of a cirque and wanted to explore photography opportunities. After scouting this area the day before, I returned early the next morning, started my hike around 430am and reached this spot about 5:20am. Only a faint game trail followed the small valley up, and quickly faded out after the first quarter mile. But two very strong flashlights came in handy in those wee hours of the morning. And then the sun began to light up the sky, and I was glad I made the trip. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
