Berthoud Pass near Winter Park

Parry’s Primose and its pink flowers flourish in the early summer when the creeks and streams in the high mountains are running high and fast. With its Latin name of Primula parryi, this wildflowers is seen here along the edges of Second Creek near Berthoud Pass just up from Winter Park, Colorado. Some of my favorite short hikes are in this area, and in the summer months the colorful flowers make it even more enjoyable. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
