Parry's Primrose on Berthoud Pass 826-1

Butler Gulch

High atop Butler Gulch between Empire and Berthoud Pass, the trail leads to amazing views of the surrounding mountains. Here, a patch of pink Parry’s Primrose, one of Colorado’s early summer wildflowers, sits alongside the edge of a small snowmelt stream. This is one of my favorite places to visit - just over the pass from Winter Park. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
