Milky Way over an Old Barn in Rocky Mountain NP 1
On a very early summer morning, well before sunrise, the Milky Way rises over the iconic Betty Dick homestead, also known as the Little Buckaroo Barn. This location near Grand Lake on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park is in the shadow of the Never Summer Mountains and part of the Kawuneeche Valley. First settled by ranchers and farmers in the early 1900s, this area is now called the River Trail Ranch. The barn is part of the National Register of Historic Places. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
