King Lake Summer Sunrise 703-3
King Lake - Continental Divide, Rollins Pass
Morning light shines on the sides of a high rock face on the west side of King Lake high up on Rollins Pass. Sunflowers, commonly called Old Man of the Mountain, show off their golden petals and are the largest of any alpine tundra wildflower. This morning photograph was taken about 11,700’ and shows the beauty of this area just 15 bumpy miles up a 4WD road from Winter Park. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
