Chicago Lakes Trail and Mount Evans 702-2
Chicago Lakes Trail
This photograph shows Mount Evans in the distance. On the left is a portion of the Chicago Lakes Trail as it begins to wind and switchback down into the valley. The trail eventually leads to the Lower and Upper Chicago Lakes. The lakes are set in a stunning valley beneath the shadown of Mount Evans (14,265’). If you reach the second lake, the round-trip hiking distance would be around 9 miles with an elevation gain of just over 2,100’. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
