Butler Gulch Wildflower Sunrise 720-1
An unnamed creek flows down from melting snows atop Butler Gulch on a cold July morning. While this area is in Clear County, I included in this gallery it as it sits on the south side of Berthoud Pass - and it is one of my favorite places for summer flowers. The hike up is steep - about 1500 vertical feet over 1.7 miles to reach this location - and to arrive for sunrise an early start is a must. But the views are incredible and early in the morning I rarely see anyone until I’m hiking back to the car. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
