Butler Gulch Wildflower Explosion

Butler Gulch

Colorado Wildflowers bloom each summer, usually peaking in July and August. Butler Gulch, near the town of Empire on Highway 40, is no exception. The trail begins near Henderson Mine and continues up ~ 2.5 miles over 1500+ vertical feet. The effort is rewarded with ample opportunity to capture Colorado Wildflower images. The colorful beauty is available at nearly every turn in the path. This image, taken in mid July, is just one example of what you may see. Photo © copyright by Rob Greebon.
